Griffon Casino is a new casino, launched at the end of 2020 by Aspire Global, one of the most well-known operators in the industry. Naming a casino after a majestic mythical creature is one way to suggest quality.
But does Griffon Casino live up to its legendary namesake or is it just another online casino? Join me as I carry out a Griffon Casino review to find out if it suits players from India!

Griffon Casino gets off to a great start by having licenses from both the UK Gaming Commission (UKGC) and the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). The UKGC covers any UK-based players, whereas the MGA covers most international players (e.g. Indian residents).
How is Griffon Casino safe?
1. Safety of funds - Griffon processes all card transactions via a company called Aspire Global, which works with many big-name betting sites such as William Hill.
2. Security of personal information - Griffon uses industry-standard 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt and protect all player data entered into its site.
3. Fairness of games - I noticed Griffon uses a bunch of reputable software providers, which in turn means the games are independently tested by well-known companies like iTech Labs. Virtual titles use random number generators to ensure no game plays the same way twice.
Even though it’s a newer gambling site, Griffon has all the right licenses and security protocols in place to keep my mind at ease. There’s a level of transparency to the privacy information that I really appreciate.
I didn’t see anything that rang any warning bells for me, so I’m sure you’ll also admire the level of player security that Griffon offers.
Every time I review a casino, whether it’s an old favourite or a fresh face, I follow the same steps.
1. Bonus and offers analysis
Griffon Casino knows exactly what its name suggests, so its promotions page is full of phrases like “take flight”, “greeted like royalty” and, “sweep you off your feet.” However, there’s absolutely no mention of what the welcome bonus is - I had to navigate to a separate page to find out (it’s a deposit match/free spin offer spread across three parts).
2. How easy is it to open a new account
Griffon’s registration process follows similar steps to most other online casinos. Once I clicked the ‘Join’ button on the left of the main page, I had to enter my email, choose a username and password, then enter all my personal info (address, gender, DOB, etc).
3. Things you need to know about their deposit methods
They’re all instant and the only fees you’ll need to pay are the ones charged by a service provider.
4. What their game selection looks like
There are various search filters, like ‘featured games’ and ‘game provider’ which makes it easy to find what you want. I’m impressed with the variety of titles available at Griffon Casino.
5. The play experience
There were a few annoyances, like how some info takes an extra step or two to access, plus the site isn’t the most responsive I’ve used. However, as subjective as this is, I bet you’ll find using Griffon Casino as decent as I did.
6. How withdrawing works
Once I’d registered for an account, I was able to select the ‘cashout’ option from my account page.
7. What do you do if you run into issues
I like that Griffon Casino put a strong emphasis on what it labels "CARE" (Customers Are Really Everything). The help section is clearly laid out and there’s 24/7 live chat available if you need it.
Although the casino mentions a welcome bonus, we could not find any information anywhere on what this might comprise.
There is, however, the Griffon challenge, which is more of a loyalty scheme rather than a bonus.
Conditions for bonuses!
To its credit, Griffon Casino is very clear about its bonus wagering requirements (you’ll find bonus terms at the bottom of every page). The welcome offer requires a player to wager 35x the bonus amount before it can be withdrawn e.g. if you deposit ₹1,000 you’ll need to wager ₹35,000.
How to claim a bonus
Almost all the offers are automatic. I did find a reference to using a promo code to unlock some offers, but there wasn’t anything available at the time of writing.
It’s common to find leaderboards, daily prize draws and other things like that, at a lot of online casinos. As far as I could tell Griffon Casino doesn’t run any kind of recurring or ongoing promotion.
Some gambling sites hide their promotions behind the sign-up process. This means you need to register for an account before you can see what’s available. However, even after logging into Griffon Casino, nothing was available.
Not all online casinos I’ve visited have a VIP program, so for Griffon Casino to lack one isn’t necessarily a negative. It does, however, have a rewards scheme, that functions like similar programs on other casino sites.
You earn points by playing, with different levels (bronze, silver, gold) unlocked after specific points have been accumulated. Points can then be redeemed (in multiples of 35) for bonus cash.
Griffon Casino’s welcome bonus is non-existent. Its lack of promotions is especially egregious given how much the site builds itself up with flowery language like, “Hold on tight as we send you on a tail-spinning flight that starts with our golden welcome package.”
Click ‘join’ on the left of the site and you’ll need to enter all the obvious details: name, address, gender, DOB, username and password.
You can also select your preferred currency - I had the choice between EUR, GBP, INR and USD, although Griffon accepts other currencies including KR, NZD, CAD, AUD, BRL and CLP. I selected INR, checked the boxes asking if I wanted to be notified of special offers/was at least 18 years old, then clicked next.
I then received a confirmation email with a reminder of the welcome bonus, my username, a few useful links (terms, contact, password reset and unsubscribe). It also included general info on deposits, responsible gambling and bonus terms.
The sign-up process is almost identical to the vast majority of online casinos I’ve frequented. I like that it merges typical post-registration info (like selecting a currency) with the sign-up process to streamline it and save a little bit of time.
Once I registered I was offered the chance to decline the welcome bonus, as well as set a deposit limit.

As you can see from the payments page, Griffon Casino has a substantial range of payment options, but many aren’t suitable to use as a withdrawal method and are not available in India. There’s also no cryptocurrency support and available methods vary from country to country.
For example, registering with an Indian address meant I could only deposit using Visa, Mastercard, Much Better, AstroPay, Neteller, and Skrill.
The range is initially impressive but since you have to use the same method for deposits and withdrawals (whenever possible) the choice gets narrower.
There are over 700 casino games to choose from, that range from video slots to table games. Let's see together what kind of fair we can expect.
Popular titles include Reactoonz 2, Gonzo’s Quest, Book of Dead and Starburst. New games are added on a weekly basis, thus you won't miss out on any trending games.
There’s a heavy emphasis on Roulette, with a few Blackjack and Baccarat titles.
The live casino is made up of a handful of tables which mainly consist of Live Roulette tables.
As far as we could tell, there is only one Game Show; Lightning Roulette, which completes the Roulette selection of live dealer tables.
iSoftBet, Microgaming, NeoGames, NetEnt, NYX, Pariplay, Play’n GO.
Live casino providers
Although Griffon Casino has over 850 games overall, there’s no dedicated live section, which is practically unforgivable in this day and age. There are plenty of popular titles to choose from, but otherwise, it’s difficult to see what Griffon has to offer over other online casinos.
The game selection isn’t terrible by any means, just underwhelming, especially when compared to most other online casinos.
1. How to withdraw
Log in to your account and then click ‘cashout’ under ‘account details’.
2. Minimum withdrawal
3. Other Rules and information players need to know
Maximum limit is ₹700,000 per month. Amounts over ₹230,000 are subject to additional verification procedures (ie. proof of identity, age and residency).
4. Where to find this information
It’s all under the cashout policy part of the help section.
The process is standard and compares well with that laid out by other online casinos.
|Contact||Average Answering Time|
|[email protected]||24 hours|
|Live Chat||[email protected]||1 minute|
1. Languages supported
2. Help Center - Email and live chat.
4. Other resources they offer - There’s also a detailed FAQ section with topics such as account, game info and bonus policy.
Griffon Casino takes every opportunity to mention that “Customers Are Really Everything,” which means that help and information is always easy to find.
The only thing I’d like to see is a contact phone number and perhaps longer hours to cater for the time difference.
There are two links and phone numbers to relevant companies (Be Gamble Aware and Problem Gambling) at the foot of each page, but they’re UK and Ireland organizations/numbers.
Otherwise, there’s a link to Griffon’s own responsible gambling page. This page details its commitment to protecting players, including how it does so and what limits can be put in place (by the casino and the player).
There’s a wealth of info to wade through on the site but it’s clearly laid out and understandable. Players can set deposit limits and a cooling-off period by voluntarily suspending their account for a set time (24 hours, one week, one month or six weeks).
Some country-specific responsible gambling site links would be welcome, otherwise, Griffon Casino does a good job of offering info and help.
Griffon Casino gets a lot of things right, especially when it comes to presenting information and help. However, it’s lack of a live casino plus a slow (and sometimes unresponsive) site holds it back. As a fresh face in the online casino scene, though, there’s plenty of time for it to improve.
The lack of a visible welcome bonus is also disappointing but we can hope the casino sets one up in the near future for Indian players.
There is no better way to find out if a casino is suitable or not than first-hand experience, thus we invite you to check it out from the below link!
